You can make a kde icon to launch the machine!

mounting your NTFS partitions with fstab

You can add the following line to your fstab to mount ntfs partitions with mount

/dev/hda1       /mnt/win        auto     ro,users,umask=022



note the umask "ro,users,umask=022"
